Etihad Airways has launched Etihad Wellbeing, a programme that groups together a series of product and service updates aimed at helping passengers sleep better, eat better and arrive feeling less depleted.
The initiative covers the journey from lounge to landing. At Zayed International Airport, Etihad Lounges offer quiet zones and a spa offering skincare, massage and hair services under the Be Relax by Etihad branding. Onboard, the changes span dining, sleep amenities, cabin environment and entertainment.
“Research shows that as people fly more frequently, they are increasingly looking at ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle while they travel. Etihad Wellbeing is our commitment to making the flying experience as restorative and restful as possible. We’re bringing together a range of practical improvements across our cabins and service, all designed to help guests rest better and arrive feeling refreshed. “Whether that’s a quieter onboard environment, premium skincare, improved sleep amenities or content that helps our guests relax on longer journeys, these are real products and experiences that make a difference during travel. We are creating a more thoughtful and restorative travel experience inspired by the warmth and care of Emirati hospitality,” Jyotsna Chowdhry, Vice President Product and Hospitality, Etihad Airways said in a statement.
In Business class, Etihad has introduced amenity kits from Korean skincare brand LANEIGE, including a Water Sleeping Mask, Lip Sleeping Mask and hand cream.
The airline says it is the first and currently only airline to carry LANEIGE products onboard. First class passengers receive ESPA skincare, alongside facial sheet masks and under-eye masks. Across First and The Residence, bedding has been updated to natural cotton with memory foam mattresses.
The airline is also launching a signature scent, designed exclusively for Etihad, to be used onboard and in its lounges.
On the food side, the programme expands plant-forward and protein-rich options, alongside a broader range of specialist meals for dietary and religious requirements, including lactose-free, low-sodium and gluten-free choices.
Cabin environment changes include the Quiet Cabin initiative, which reduces non-essential announcements, and lighting calibrated to support rest and reduce jetlag on long-haul routes. Wellness content, including meditation, stretching and sleep programming, is available through inflight entertainment.
Etihad says the programme will continue to expand as further enhancements are developed.
