Côte d’Ivoire are through to the round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Curaçao 2-0 in Philadelphia in their final Group 5 match.
Nicolas Pépé opened the scoring in the seventh minute, then doubled his tally in the 64th to seal a comfortable win for the Ivorians.
The result lifts Côte d’Ivoire to six points, finishing second in the group on head-to-head record behind Germany, who topped Group 5. Curaçao exit the tournament with one point from three matches, finishing fourth in their first-ever World Cup appearance.
