Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with Elon Musk, CEO of X, SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink, at his majlis in Nad Al Sheba.
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, attended the meeting.
The meeting addressed technological transformations taking place across the world and examined ways to use new solutions and applications to advance development for humanity. The discussions centred on a development vision that helps overcome challenges and shapes a future marked by progress and prosperity.

The meeting highlighted the UAE and Dubai’s emergence as global technology and innovation destinations, and their ability to harness advancements and solutions as part of a vision strengthened by partnerships with global technology companies.
Legislative and regulatory frameworks that promote uptake of technology and incentives to attract talent and expertise capable of driving ideas and innovations have enabled the UAE and Dubai to earn recognition on this count.
The discussions touched on factors that have made the UAE and Dubai prime technology and innovation destinations, including the digital infrastructure that drives the digital economy towards prominence.
The meeting reviewed aspects of the strategy adopted by Dubai and the UAE to advance artificial intelligence and future technologies as part of an approach to improve quality of life, enhance competitiveness, and set benchmarks.
Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that the UAE and Dubai continue to inspire innovation with legislative frameworks, partnerships, and investment in human capital.
“This approach empowers the thriving technology community across the UAE and contributes to building a more sustainable and prosperous future for all residents,” Sheikh Hamdan noted, according to a statement by the Dubai Media Office.

Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Deputy Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation, attended the meeting.
Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, also attended.
