Yas Waterworld on Yas Island has been awarded the Guinness World Records title for the most waterslides in a waterpark, with a certified count of 55 slides across the site.

The certificate was presented during a ceremony at the park by Hanane Spiers, the official Guinness World Records adjudicator for the MENA region and Türkiye. Dr Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, and Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, accepted the award on behalf of the park.

The record follows an expansion that opened in April this year, adding 11 new rides, slides and attractions. The park now counts more than 70 rides and attractions in total, with the 55-slide portfolio at the centre of the offer. Among the new additions is Matamir’s Drop, the UAE’s tallest waterslide.

“We are incredibly proud to receive the Guinness World Records title for the most waterslides in a waterpark, marking another major milestone for Yas Waterworld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. The addition of our newest attractions, including the UAE’s tallest waterslide, reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering innovative and world-class experiences for our guests. With a record-breaking collection of 55 waterslides, Yas Waterworld continues to strengthen its position as a leading global waterpark, offering unforgettable experiences for families, friends, and thrill-seekers alike,” Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager at Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi said in a statement.

The park’s expansion was developed as an extension of its existing Lost City theme, built around The Legend of the Lost Pearl narrative.
