Volvo Cars is rolling out Apple Music integration across its UAE lineup through an over-the-air software update, the company announced on 14 July. The update covers ten models from model year 2020 onwards: the ES90, XC90, S90, V90, XC60, S60, V60, XC40, EX40 and EC40, all available in the UAE through Al-Futtaim.
Two models not yet on sale in the region, the EX60 and EX90, will arrive with Apple Music natively integrated from the point of first delivery.
Eligible customers can claim up to three months of Apple Music at no charge, redeemable through the Volvo Cars app and valid until 6 July 2027. The offer applies to both new subscribers and returning users.
Drivers of the EX60, EX90 and ES90 will also have access to Apple Music Spatial Audio, powered by Dolby Atmos, if they opt for the Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system. Volvo says those three models feature enhanced cabin soundproofing and acoustically calibrated speaker placement, positioning them as the quietest cars the brand has produced.
“Many of Volvo customers already listen to Apple Music on their phones and at home. Bringing Apple Music directly into Volvo vehicles transforms every drive into a premium music experience. You’ll feel as if you’re right in the middle of a concert hall or an arena during your favourite live performance or immersed in the latest music in Spatial Audio exactly as the artist intended – a truly emotional listening experience,” Carlos Montenegro, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises – Volvo said in a statement.
Apple Music carries a catalogue of more than 100 million songs, ad-free, controllable by voice or touchscreen. Customers can sign in with an existing Apple account and carry over playlists from other services.
