Egyptian fintech company ValU and regional travel marketplace Wego have announced a partnership that allows customers to book flights and accommodation through Wego and pay in instalments via ValU’s financing platform.

Through the integration, travellers can search and compare flights across hundreds of airlines on Wego and select ValU at checkout. Eligible customers can spread the cost over instalment plans of up to 60 months.

The companies said the arrangement is aimed at removing upfront payment barriers for a broad consumer base, including young professionals, families, and digital-first travellers.

“Travelers today are looking for greater flexibility throughout every stage of their booking journey. Through our partnership with Valu, we are giving customers more choice in how they pay for their trips, making travel planning more accessible and convenient. By combining Wego’s travel marketplace with Valu’s flexible financing solutions, we’re making travel more accessible while continuing to deliver innovative, customer-centric experiences for travelers across Egypt,” Mostafa Tawakol, General Manager for Egypt at Wego said in a statement.

“Our partnership with Wego represents a strategic step toward expanding the reach of our financial solutions within the travel sector. By providing flexible financing for travel, we are not only addressing a key consumer demand but also reinforcing our role as a comprehensive fintech powerhouse that enables individuals to achieve their lifestyle goals with financial ease and security,” Walid Hassouna, CEO of Valu added.

The deal comes as demand for buy-now-pay-later and instalment-based payment options has grown across Egypt, with larger discretionary purchases such as travel among the categories where consumers have sought more flexible payment structures.
