Udrive, the UAE’s app-based car-sharing service, says its customers drove more than 45 million kilometres in 2025, as demand for flexible, short-term vehicle access grows across the country’s urban centres.

The company now operates a fleet of over 2,000 vehicles and has recorded more than three million rentals since launch. In 2025 alone, Udrive logged over half a million trips, with new registrations growing 14 per cent year-on-year. The platform operates across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman.

“At Udrive, our growth is being shaped by customers who want access without the cost and commitment of ownership. Expanding across four emirates and growing our fleet gives residents and visitors the freedom to choose the right car for every journey. Stronger retention shows that flexible mobility is becoming part of daily life in the UAE, while supporting a more practical alternative to private vehicle dependency,” Hasib Khan, Founder and CEO of Udrive said in a statement.

Residents account for 90 per cent of the customer base, a figure that points to car-sharing functioning less as a tourist convenience and more as a routine transport option. Long-term engagement has improved as well: the share of active customers with 12 months or more on the platform rose from 21 per cent to 32 per cent.

Fleet variety has expanded alongside usage. Udrive now offers vehicles from Kia, Ford, Toyota, Suzuki, Nissan, Mitsubishi, BYD and MINI. A partnership with AGMC brought MINI Cooper S, John Cooper Works and MINI Convertible models to the platform, while hybrid BYD Song and BYD QIN vehicles have also been added for lower-emission journeys.

New Business Zones have been opened in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, extending coverage across residential, commercial and lifestyle districts.
