The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has suspended all flights operated by Iranian airlines to and from the country, effective Thursday 24 September, with no end date set.
The authority said the decision follows a US ban prohibiting Iranian airlines from using airports in countries around the world.
The GCAA said it would keep relevant authorities and the public updated on any developments as they arise, pending the resumption of normal air traffic between the two countries.
The GCAA urged the public to rely only on official and authorised sources for information.
