Emirates has restored 96% of its global network following a period of disruption, with the airline now operating to 137 destinations across 72 countries and running more than 1,300 weekly frequencies.
The carrier said the restoration covers routes across the Americas, Europe, Africa, West Asia, the Middle East and GCC, the Far East and Australasia, representing 75 per cent of pre-disruption capacity.
Emirates carries 4.7 million passengers during disruption as airline returns to near-full operations
Despite operating on a reduced schedule during the disruption period, Emirates carried 4.7 million passengers between March 1 and April 30, which the airline described as a reflection of “enduring demand for travel and the trust that travellers continued to place in the airline.”
Passengers travelling with Emirates can access the airline’s ice inflight entertainment system, which carries more than 6,500 channels of content across almost 40 languages, spanning films, television, music, podcasts, games and audiobooks.
The airline has also expanded its in-flight connectivity offering, with Starlink now live on 28 aircraft, providing what it describes as “ultra-fast, reliable internet” at 40,000 feet.
On the culinary side, the airline offers multi-course menus developed by a team of chefs, alongside a selection of beverages across cabin classes.
Emirates has introduced a package of measures aimed at encouraging passengers to book with confidence.
Customers who book from April 2 are entitled to one free date change across all cabin classes. In addition, passengers can hold a fare for 24 hours at no charge.
The airline’s Dubai Connect programme, available to passengers across all cabin classes with connection times of between six and 26 hours, provides complimentary hotel accommodation at a four- or five-star property, along with airport transfers, meals and, where required, a UAE entry visa.
The programme can be booked up to 12 hours in advance through the Manage Your Booking portal on emirates.com.
Emirates Skywards members will be able to reach the programme’s premium tiers more quickly under a promotion running from May 1 to August 31, 2026. The airline said it has reduced tier requirements and will offer Bonus Tier Miles on both Emirates and flydubai flights during this period.
