A charge of AED2 per hour will apply to standard parking spaces. Payment can be made through the “Darb” and “TAMM” applications, via SMS, or at payment machines located within the area.
Mohamed Bin Zayed City records high levels of vehicle movement on a daily basis, driven by the number of employees and visitors travelling to its commercial sectors. The introduction of a paid parking system is intended to reduce instances of random parking, improve access to commercial and service establishments, and support traffic flow.
Q Mobility stated that the phase aims “to improve parking management in areas experiencing high traffic density and increasing commercial activity,” adding that the goal is to create “a more organised and efficient urban environment.”
The company added that the expansion forms part of “an integrated strategy aimed at enhancing parking management efficiency, improving traffic flow, and supporting quality of life in Abu Dhabi, in line with its vision to develop a sustainable and advanced urban mobility ecosystem.”
The paid parking programme in Mohamed Bin Zayed City has been introduced in stages. The first phase began on December 15, 2025, covering sectors ME9, ME10, ME11, and ME12, and was provided free of charge as a regulation measure.
The second phase was launched on April 6, 2026 and introduced charges in sectors ME10 and ME11, as well as in main street commercial areas in villa zones Z17-01, Z19, Z20, and Z27.
Motorists parking in the affected sectors from May 6, 2026 can settle charges through the following channels:
- The Darb application
- The TAMM application
- SMS services
- Payment machines available within the area
