Pennsylvania recorded the highest number of outages, with more than 70,000 customers affected. Michigan followed with around 64,000 properties without electricity.

Among utilities, FirstEnergy reported the largest number of disruptions, with roughly 59,800 homes and facilities impacted. DTE Energy came second, with approximately 55,900 customers affected.

DTE Energy said its storm response teams were working to restore service and expected around 95 per cent of affected customers to have power back by end of day.
