Oil prices climbed by more than two dollars a barrel in early Wednesday trading, with both major benchmarks posting sharp gains.
Brent crude futures rose $2.71, or 3.2%, to $86.80 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate added $2.26, or 3.4%, to reach $81.95 a barrel. Both moves were recorded as of 00:02 GMT.
