Oil prices edged higher in early Asian trading, putting both major benchmarks on course for a second consecutive week of gains.
Brent crude futures rose four cents to $93.82 a barrel, following a 2.4% gain in the previous session. US West Texas Intermediate futures slipped six cents to $86.78 a barrel, after rising 2.3% the day before.
Over the past five trading days, Brent has climbed more than 7% and WTI more than 8%, bringing both contracts to their highest levels since 24 July.
