The LEGO Group has announced a new adult-oriented set modelled on the original PlayStation console, with 1,911 pieces and a retail price of $179.99.
The LEGO PlayStation (set 72306) is built to near 1:1 scale, measuring over 6 cm high, 26 cm wide, and 19 cm deep. It includes a replica of the console’s first controller, functional Open and Power buttons, and a working port to plug the brick-built controller into the console.
The set’s centrepiece is a hidden interior: opening the console reveals two buildable dioramas. One is a miniature racing track from Gran Turismo, the 1997 driving game, complete with small cars.
The other is a scene from Ape Escape, the 1999 platformer, featuring the game’s recognisable red or blue monkey helmet. Both dioramas can be displayed inside the console or removed and set up separately.
The set was revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast. LEGO Insiders get early access from October 1, 2026, with general availability from October 4, 2026. Pricing is set at £139.99 in the UK, €159.99 in Europe, and $179.99 in the US.
