Emaar Properties has inaugurated three mosques across its master-planned communities during Ramadan, bringing the total number of places of worship delivered across its developments in Dubai to 20.

The three mosques – Al-Majid Mosque in Dubai Creek Harbour, Al Ghani Mosque in Emaar South and Masjid Al Hadi in Arabian Ranches III – together accommodate more than 1,300 worshippers and opened during the Holy Month to provide residents with spaces for Taraweeh prayers and congregational gatherings.

Al-Majid Mosque in Dubai Creek Harbour is the largest of the three, accommodating approximately 780 worshippers. Al Ghani Mosque in Emaar South serves around 364 worshippers, while Masjid Al Hadi in Arabian Ranches III accommodates nearly 200. Each mosque has been integrated within its respective community to provide residents with access to daily and congregational worship.

Emaar said the openings reflect its approach to master planning, in which places of worship sit alongside schools, parks, retail outlets and civic facilities as components of community infrastructure.

The company said in a statement that “faith-based infrastructure remains central to Emaar’s integrated community model,” and that the mosques serve as “centres of connection and shared community life” beyond their function as places of worship.

The timing of the openings during Ramadan was described as carrying “meaningful relevance,” given the significance of the month for congregational prayer and communal gathering.

The provision of mosques forms part of what Emaar describes as its commitment to building “sustainable, people-centric communities” as it continues to expand its portfolio across Dubai.

Emaar Properties PJSC, listed on the Dubai Financial Market, has delivered more than 125,600 residential units in Dubai and other markets since 2002.

The company holds a land bank of approximately 618 million sq ft in the UAE and key international markets, and counts Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and Dubai Fountain among its developments.

Around 26 per cent of Emaar’s revenue comes from shopping malls, hospitality, leisure, entertainment, commercial leasing and international businesses. The company operates approximately 1.4 million sq metres of leasing assets and 41 hotels and resorts with approximately 10,000 keys.
