The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) is preparing to roll out what it describes as the world’s first integrated AI judicial platform, with the first phase of implementation set to begin in September.
The platform, developed in coordination with the Department of Government Enablement, is designed to support judicial and legal decision-making across the full litigation workflow. All AI outputs will operate under human supervision and validation, the department said.
A joint steering committee chaired by Counsellor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the ADJD, has approved a work plan for the rollout. The full implementation is expected to unfold over 18 months following the September launch.
Al Abri framed the initiative as an expression of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s push to embed future technologies across government services, and said it aligns with directives from Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the ADJD, to bring the emirate’s judicial system in line with international standards.
On the practical side, the platform is intended to accelerate case completion, improve consistency in judicial processes, and reduce procedural friction across the courts.
The ADJD said the system will deliver an integrated suite of smart solutions covering multiple stages of litigation, contributing to what it called a broader digital transformation of the judiciary.
