Arada Group has announced plans to develop a twin residential tower project valued at AED 5 billion in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, following the acquisition of a major development site in the coastal precinct. The project marks the UAE-headquartered developer’s first expansion beyond New South Wales in Australia.

The scheme, designed by Plus Studio Architecture, will deliver 952 residential units. Arada’s in-house contractor Roberts, a Tier 1 construction firm it acquired in 2025, will carry out the build. The group is targeting completion ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Southeast Queensland.

The Broadbeach site sits directly opposite the city’s convention centre, with access to the light rail network and walking distance from The Star Gold Coast and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre. The project is expected to contribute close to 1,000 homes to Queensland’s housing stock.

Ahmed Al Khoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, said the location gave the company a competitive platform. “Broadbeach is a world-class address that gives us a competitive advantage to create a community with a unique design and exceptional lifestyle that enriches the experience of all those who live there,” he said.

Al Khoshaibi also framed the move as part of a broader national growth strategy. “This is our first development outside New South Wales, and it reflects our growing ambition to expand in key urban markets across the country,” he added. “Delivering this through Roberts means we control the elements of quality, speed and accountability that buyers expect from our integrated developments.”

Arada entered the Australian market in 2024 and has since built a portfolio of eight projects totalling more than 5,000 homes across the country. Globally, the group manages projects with a combined value exceeding AED 130 billion and more than 55,000 residential units across the UAE, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Gold Coast is among Australia’s fastest-growing regions, with population growth driven by interstate migration, infrastructure investment, and the city’s draw as a lifestyle destination. The 2032 Games are accelerating investment across Southeast Queensland, and Arada is positioning the Broadbeach development to meet demand during that transformation.
