Air Arabia has announced a new daily direct service between Sharjah and Frankfurt, set to begin on 15 December 2026. Frankfurt becomes the carrier’s second destination in Germany from Sharjah, after Munich.

The route will connect the two international airports with a single daily frequency, extending Air Arabia’s European network and offering direct, low-cost access to one of Germany’s main commercial and tourism hubs. Flights will be operated on Airbus A320neo aircraft, a narrowbody known for its fuel efficiency.

Adel Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, described the launch as a meaningful step in the airline’s European expansion. “Frankfurt is our second destination in Germany from Sharjah,” he said, adding that the new service “reflects growing travel demand between the two countries” and the broader importance of the German market within the airline’s network.

Dietmar Focke, Chief Operating Officer at Fraport, the company that manages Frankfurt Airport, said the daily service adds a significant new travel option between Germany and the UAE, and complements Frankfurt’s existing Gulf connections. He noted that passengers would also benefit from onward access across Air Arabia’s wider route network.

The announcement continues a pattern of Gulf carrier expansion into secondary European points, with budget-oriented airlines increasingly targeting business-travel-heavy cities alongside leisure destinations.
