Ibn Battuta Mall is hosting daily indoor fitness sessions as part of the Dubai Mallathon, a citywide initiative launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum running across seven Dubai malls from June 15 to September 15, 2026.
Sessions take place each morning from 6 AM to 10 AM, with dedicated run and walk lanes, distance markers, and water refill stations every 500 metres along the course.
The mall’s six themed courts, each inspired by a leg of Ibn Battuta’s historical travels, give the circuit a scale and layout that lends itself to the format.
The main event falls on Saturday, August 30, and introduces a structured, lap-based race with competitive timing across three distances. Category winners receive gold, silver, and bronze medals. All finishers get a medal, an event T-shirt, and a digital certificate. From 8:30 AM to 10 AM that day, the event opens to a free community walk and run.
Participants can also pick up retailer offers on select dates, including free eye tests from Al Jaber. On Sunday, 31 August, the first 50 finishers receive a AED 300 NOOR gift voucher.
Registration is open to all fitness levels. Wristbands are available daily at the mall’s registration desk.
The Mallathon sits alongside a busy summer calendar at Ibn Battuta. The mall has also hosted the manga-inspired Zamania by Leo and Loona sportainment venue, a Versus 3.0 gaming activation, a 12K Walk to Unlock campaign with the FITZE app, and Moon Walk performances as part of its Dubai Summer Surprises programming.
