The Investment Corporation of Dubai has transferred its entire shareholding in Emaar Properties PJSC to Emirates Power Investment LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dubai Holding, in a transaction that has resulted in a change of ownership exceeding 10 per cent.
Emaar Properties PJSC notified the Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Financial Market, Hamed Ali, of the transaction in a letter dated 11 May 2026, signed by Board Secretary Mohamed AlQahtani.
The transfer was executed via the Dubai Central Securities Depository LLC.
Emirates Power Investment LLC acquires 22.27% Emaar stake as ICD exits shareholding
Emirates Power Investment LLC now holds 22.2723 per cent of the total issued shares of Emaar Properties PJSC. The Investment Corporation of Dubai no longer holds any shares in the company.
Following the completion of the transaction, the total shareholding of the Dubai Holding group in Emaar Properties PJSC has increased to approximately 29.73 per cent, making Dubai Holding the largest shareholder in one of the UAE’s most prominent property developers.
In its notification to the Dubai Financial Market, Emaar Properties stated: “Dubai Holding will become its largest shareholder and continue to be a long-term investor.”
The company added that the transaction “reinforces the strategic partnership between Emaar Properties PJSC and Dubai Holding, building on a long-standing relationship supported by continued collaboration across key joint ventures and other initiatives.”
