flydubai has launched its service to Vilnius, establishing the first nonstop connection between Dubai and Lithuania. The Dubai-based carrier began operations on the route, which will run three times per week.
The airline becomes the first UAE carrier to offer nonstop connectivity between Dubai and the capital of Lithuania. The route provides links to Dubai’s aviation hub.
“Today, we celebrate a new link between two cities and two countries. flydubaiโs decision to connect Vilnius and Dubai is not just about launching a new route; itโs about opening doors to endless possibilities for two nations with much to offer each other,” Noora Juma, the non-resident Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lithuania said in a statement.

“I am pleased that over the past two years, a fourth new airline is beginning operations in Lithuania. This shows that Vilnius Airport remains a safe, attractive, and reliable partner for international carriers. The arrival of this company marks a new stage in our countryโs aviation. A direct connection with one of the most important hubs in the Middle East not only increases Lithuaniaโs accessibility and expands connecting-flight opportunities, but also opens entirely new travel destinations for all of us, as well as for business and the tourism sector. In the first year of operations alone, around 40,000 passengers are expected to be carried,” Juras Taminskas, Minister of Transport and Communications added.
The route is expected to support economic cooperation and attract visitors. Lithuanian travellers will access Dubai’s attractions and onward destinations including the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Thailand.
Customers travelling on the route will have access to flydubai’s Business Class product, featuring lie-flat seats and culinary offerings. Economy Class customers receive inflight entertainment and meals.
“The launch of our flights to Vilnius underscores flydubaiโs commitment to expanding direct connectivity to underserved markets. These new flights will play an important role in stimulating tourism and trade flows between the UAE and Lithuania, offering passengers more convenient travel options and opening new opportunities for businesses and visitors in both countries. We look forward to seeing the route gain popularity with our customers and we thank the airport and local authorities for their support and warm welcome to the market,” Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai explained further.
The service is offered as part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership. Passengers benefit from a single ticket, through check-in of baggage and access to a network of more than 240 destinations.
Flights to Terminal 3, Dubai International (DXB) will operate three times a week from Vilnius International Airport (VNO).

This new link with one of the most important hubs in the Middle East opens up even more opportunities for both travellers and businesses, while also providing convenient access to more than 200 destinations within the combined flydubai and Emirates network. We particularly appreciate flydubaiโs readiness to invest in the development of inbound tourism in the Baltic States, which is crucial for ensuring the success of flights throughout the year. We are confident that the Dubai route will become an attractive and consistent choice for our passengers,” Simonas Bartkus, Chief Executive Officer at Lithuanian Airports said.
