Istanbul, Munich and Krakow are the standout destinations for UAE travellers planning October trips, according to booking and search data from travel platform Wego.
Searches for the three cities rose 14 per cent, 9 per cent and 7 per cent respectively compared with October 2025, pointing to sustained appetite for European and Turkish city breaks as the summer season winds down.
“October gives us a useful view of how travel demand from the UAE evolves beyond the peak summer period. What matters is not only which destinations are attracting attention, but how prices are moving and when travellers are choosing to book. Looking at these signals together gives us a clearer picture of how UAE travellers are navigating choice, cost and timing as they plan their next trip,” Mamoun Hmidan, Chief Business Officer at Wego said in a statement.
Costs are rising on the most popular route. The average return flight booking value from the UAE to Istanbul stands at approximately AED 2,171 this October, up from AED 1,954 a year ago, an 11 per cent increase year on year. Average hotel rates in Istanbul are running at around AED 572 per night.
On booking behaviour, UAE travellers are committing to October flights an average of 25 days before departure, compared with 23 days for the same period last year. Accommodation is being booked slightly later, at an average of 17 days out.
