Registrations are open for Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, with this year’s event set for 1 November 2026 as the opening fixture of the Dubai Fitness Challenge’s milestone 10th edition.
Now in its seventh year, Dubai Ride will bring thousands of cyclists onto Sheikh Zayed Road and through Downtown Dubai for a morning, passing landmarks including the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Opera, the Museum of the Future and Dubai Water Canal. Last year’s edition drew a record 40,000 participants.
Two routes are on offer: a 12km ride along Sheikh Zayed Road for more experienced cyclists, and a 4km family loop through Downtown Dubai. A dedicated entry point will accommodate People of Determination using handcycles, tandem bikes and adapted bicycles.
Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, affirmed that this unique event represents an exceptional spectacle reflecting the culture of positivity and vitality that characterizes Dubai. “Transforming Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai’s most prominent artery, into an open sports track for cycling enthusiasts translates a unique vision that makes Dubai a city that is friendly to athletes and to sport. As this challenge reaches its tenth year, we are proud of the steady growing community engagement, which confirms the success of the Dubai Sports Council’s strategy in establishing physical activity as an essential part of daily life. This edition gains additional momentum as it coincides with the ‘Year of the Family 2026’, that represents an ideal opportunity for generations to come together and share unforgettable sporting moments in a safe and stimulating environment that supports our goals of building a vibrant and healthy society,” Saeed Hareb said in a statement.
“Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, is one of the most anticipated moments on the Dubai Fitness Challenge calendar, bringing residents and visitors of all ages and abilities together on Dubai’s iconic roads. As we mark DFC’s 10th edition, Dubai Ride captures what the Challenge is about: making movement accessible, bringing communities together and giving everyone the opportunity to discover what their 30×30 can be. This year, during the UAE’s Year of the Family, we look forward to seeing families and communities across Dubai take part together,” Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment added.
“Dubai Ride brings people together in a way few other events can. Each year, thousands of cyclists take to Sheikh Zayed Road and experience the city from a completely different perspective. As presenting partner, DP World is proud to support an event that reflects Dubai’s energy, strengthens community connections and encourages people of all ages and abilities to make movement part of everyday life,” Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan, CEO and Managing Director, DP World GCC further explained.
Bibs and T-shirts can be collected from the Dubai Municipality 30×30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park, Gate 2, between 28 and 31 October. Registration is available at the Dubai Fitness Challenge website.
