Abu Dhabi Police have called on drivers to observe safe driving practices around schools, citing risks to student safety from speeding, distraction, and illegal parking.
The authority urged motorists to reduce speed when approaching schools, comply with posted speed limits, and remain attentive at stop signs, traffic signals, and pedestrian crossings. Drivers should be ready to respond to unexpected situations in these areas, police said.
Abu Dhabi Police also called on drivers to use designated parking zones and avoid stopping or parking indiscriminately in front of or near schools, warning that random parking creates traffic obstructions and puts students at risk.
The authority framed safe driving near schools as a shared public responsibility, saying adherence to traffic rules contributes to protecting children and improving road safety for all users.
