Emirates has cancelled all of its Dubai-Jakarta flights on September 6 and 7, 2026 after volcanic ash forced the temporary closure of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta.
Eight flights in total are affected: four services on September 6 and four on September 7, covering both outbound and inbound routes. Passengers connecting through Dubai to Jakarta will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice.
The airline advised affected customers to check their flight status regularly and monitor their email before travelling to the airport. Those who booked through a travel agency are asked to contact their agent for rebooking; customers who booked directly with Emirates should reach out to the airline.
Emirates is also asking passengers to confirm their contact details are current via the Manage Your Booking tool to ensure they receive updates.
The airline said it is monitoring the situation closely. No timeline for resuming services has been given.
