Dubai Municipality recorded 1,385 engineering and technical violations at active construction sites across the emirate during June, according to a regulatory bulletin published by the authority covering the building and construction sector.
The violations related to non-compliance with approved engineering controls and structural safety standards. The municipality said all necessary regulatory and legal measures had been taken to ensure quality and safety across the emirate’s construction projects.
The findings came from 6,887 field inspection visits carried out by engineering and oversight teams across sites at various stages of construction. The inspections covered approximately 44 million square metres of active projects, according to performance data released by the municipality.
During the same period, the authority received 767 complaints from the public, all of which it said were handled promptly by emergency teams and inspectors to correct non-compliant conditions on site.
Concrete supply to active projects during June reached approximately 336,210 cubic metres, delivered under engineering supervision to verify the quality of mixes and their compliance with approved structural codes.
The municipality said it remains committed to maintaining inspection intensity across construction sites as Dubai’s development pipeline continues to expand.
