The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has announced that private sector employees across the UAE will observe a four-day holiday for Eid Al Adha, from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29, 2026.
Official work resumes on Monday, 1 June 2026.
When combined with the succeeding weekends, residents can enjoy a six-day break in total – from Tuesday, May 26 through to Sunday, May 31, 2026.
What is Eid Al Adha?
Eid Al Adha, known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant occasions in the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims across the world.
Arafat Day falls on the ninth day of Dhu Al Hijja, the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar, with Eid Al Adha beginning on its tenth day.
