The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) confirmed that all private educational institutions in Dubai will shift to distance learning from May 5 to May 8, 2026, citing the need to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students, staff, and the broader community.
The UAE Ministry of Education announced that all nurseries and public and private schools nationwide will shift to distance learning from Tuesday, May 5 through Friday, May 8, 2026, covering students, teachers, and administrative staff.
The ministry cited the safety and wellbeing of the educational community as the reason for the move, adding that the situation will be reviewed on May 8 with the possibility of an extension if needed.
