Dubai Municipality has launched the “Work from Park” initiative, which will introduce workspaces within public parks across the emirate.
The initiative aims to redefine the role of public parks by combining productivity, leisure and nature in a single setting. It positions parks as destinations for entrepreneurs, freelancers, small and medium-sized enterprises and those who work remotely.
As part of the initiative, Dubai Municipality has signed two Memoranda of Cooperation – one with Group AMANA and one with Letswork LLC. The agreements cover the development and operation of workspace infrastructure within parks.
Under the agreement with Group AMANA, the company will construct and develop the first “Work from Park” destination at Al Barsha Pond Park through DuBox, using off-site modular construction technology. The method involves manufacturing units off-site, then transporting and assembling them on location. According to the Municipality, the approach reduces waste and environmental impact while allowing spaces to be adapted to user needs and changing requirements.
First location set to open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park
The first destination under the initiative is set to open in May 2026 at Al Barsha Pond Park. It will feature modular workspaces designed to sustainability standards and integrated with the park’s surroundings. The Municipality said more locations will be introduced across parks throughout the year.
Under the agreement with Letswork, the company will activate and operate the initiative across public parks, including at Al Barsha Pond Park. Through the Letswork platform, users will gain access to a network of workspaces, including hot desks, event spaces, podcast studios and facilities for creative production.
The partnership with Letswork will also support content creators through the development of workspaces tailored to their needs and working styles. In addition, the collaboration will introduce educational programmes and sessions aimed at nurturing talent, promoting entrepreneurship, developing skills and creating opportunities for collaboration.
The initiative forms part of Dubai Municipality’s efforts to activate parks and facilities as spaces that support work patterns, enhance productivity and foster community engagement. It aligns with the Dubai 2040 Parks and Greenery Strategy, supports the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 and contributes to the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The initiative will be implemented through a public-private partnership model, opening avenues for private sector participation and investment.
