The United States have qualified for the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup after defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-0 at San Francisco Bay Arena in a round of 32 fixture played in the early hours of this morning.
Folarin Balogun opened the scoring in the 45th minute, only to be sent off in the 64th, leaving the US to defend their lead with ten men for the final quarter of the match. They held firm and extended it: Malik Tillman added a second in the 82nd minute to seal the result and eliminate Bosnia from the tournament.
The US will face Belgium in the round of 16 on Tuesday.
