The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast rainfall and cloud cover across the UAE from the evening of December 12 until December 19.
The weather authority issued its report today, detailing the atmospheric conditions expected to affect the country over the coming week.
“The country is affected by the extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by an upper-level low-pressure system that deepens and weakens at times,” the NCM stated in its report, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
Scattered rainfall expected at intervals across UAE
The system will bring cloud formations across the UAE. The NCM indicated that scattered rainfall will occur at intervals during the forecast period.
The NCM indicated that winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, occasionally turning northwesterly, and will be light to moderate in speed, becoming active at times especially with clouds, and may cause blowing dust over land.
The Arabian Gulf will see slight to moderate sea conditions. The NCM warned that conditions will become rough at times, particularly when clouds are present.
The Sea of Oman will experience slight to moderate conditions throughout the forecast period.
