The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has inaugurated a Painting and Grinding Centre developed by Lufthansa Technik Middle East, as part of efforts to expand its operations in the region and support aviation services and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
The facility supports component painting and grinding processes used in structural and composite repairs. It enables curing and drying processes and aims to improve repair efficiency and reduce turnaround times for customers in the region and beyond.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Tahnoon Saif, Chief Executive Officer of MBRAH, and Ziad Al Hazmi, Chief Executive Officer of Lufthansa Technik Middle East, along with executives from both organisations.
“The inauguration of Lufthansa Technik Middle East’s new Painting & Grinding Center marks another important milestone in strengthening the aviation ecosystem at MBRAH. We continue to attract leading global aviation players establishing advanced capabilities to support the growing demand for aviation services in the region. This is part of our mandate to reinforce Dubai’s position as the aviation capital of the world, in alignment with our wise leadership’s vision for the emirate.” Saif said in a statement.

New facility at MBRAH supports aircraft component repairs
Lufthansa Technik Middle East provides airframe and component MRO services for commercial aircraft, supporting airline operators across the region.
Based in Dubai, the company delivers component support, structural and composite repair services, and maintenance support for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
It also supports operators with material management, logistics and spare parts supply, using Lufthansa Technik’s network to provide technical support for airlines worldwide.
MBRAH provides connectivity for aerospace companies and operates as a free-zone destination for airlines, private jet companies, MRO providers and related industries. Located in Dubai South, it includes maintenance centres and training and education campuses.
The hub aims to develop engineering industries and support the emirate’s plan to become a global aviation hub.
