Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) and the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) in Fujairah have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in the civil aviation sector.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of DCAA, and H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Salami, Chairman of the Fujairah Civil Aviation Authority.
The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation between the two entities, including the exchange of information, data and expertise. The agreement provides for the formation of joint working teams and the organisation of meetings to follow up on implementation and address challenges.

“This MoU represents an important step towards enhancing integration and coordination among civil aviation authorities in the UAE. It also reflects our shared commitment to supporting development and innovation, and to elevating safety and efficiency standards. We firmly believe in the importance of unifying efforts and exchanging expertise with our partners in the Emirate of Fujairah in a way that serves the interests of the aviation sector and advances its services, in line with the aspirations of our wise leadership,” Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority said in a statement.
“As the United Arab Emirates’ vision to strengthen its leadership in the civil aviation sector, the Fujairah Civil Aviation Department and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing coordination and cooperation between the two entities. This step reflects their firm commitment to advancing this vital sector and supporting its role in driving sustainable economic growth,” Mohammed Abdullah Al-Salami, Chairman of the Fujairah Civil Aviation Authority added.
The MoU aims to improve performance efficiency and ensure levels of safety and security in the aviation sector. The partnership will focus on compliance with standards and the adoption of technologies and practices.
Both parties stated that the agreement marks the start of a partnership that will support efforts in the civil aviation sector and strengthen the UAE’s position as a centre for aviation.
