King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was struck a second time on Sunday, with a projectile hitting Terminal 4 and causing a fire, according to Saudi-led coalition spokesman Major General Turki al-Malki.

Al-Malki said air defences also intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile in the vicinity of the airport. He described the projectile as “unidentified.”

The strike follows Saturday’s attack on the same site, which killed 12 people and left 309 others injured. The airport remained closed on Sunday as a result of the earlier assault.
