Salik will apply a 5% value added tax to toll gate usage fees and tag activation charges starting 1 June 2026, the company announced, citing UAE tax legislation.
The VAT will be calculated on the applicable fees for both services, with collected amounts remitted to the Federal Tax Authority in compliance with current regulations, the company said.
Salik urged users to check its official channels for updates on tariffs and charges ahead of the change.
