flydubai is doubling its Bangkok service to two daily flights from July 18, citing strong demand for the route it only launched on July 1. Both services operate from Dubai International’s Terminal 3 to Don Mueang International Airport, which the carrier says offers convenient access to central Bangkok.
The expansion coincides with an upgrade to its Krabi service, which moves from four weekly flights to daily operations. Combined, flydubai will run up to 21 weekly flights to Thailand.
“Just weeks after welcoming Bangkok as our latest destination, we are pleased to build on the strong demand for this route by introducing a second daily flight from Dubai. Don Mueang International Airport offers convenient access to central Bangkok, making it an attractive option for customers looking to make the most of their time in the city, especially during the busy summer travel period. The additional service provides greater flexibility and more travel options while reinforcing our commitment to enhancing connectivity and supporting Dubai’s position as a leading international aviation hub,” Sudhir Sreedharan, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at flydubai said in a statement.
The Bangkok flights are offered under the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, which covers a combined network of more than 240 destinations and allows through check-in on a single ticket.
Return Business Class fares from Dubai start from AED 12,000; Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 2,600. From Bangkok, Business Class returns start from THB 91,000 and Economy Class Lite from THB 21,000.
The carrier has been moving quickly on new routes this summer. It recently launched flights to Benghazi in Libya and is scheduled to begin services to Aleppo in Syria from July 20 and to Pokhara in Nepal from September 23.
