Etihad Arena has announced a partnership with District by Zomato, the going-out and experiences platform, in a move designed to expand the venue’s reach and make its events more discoverable for UAE audiences.
Under the collaboration, District will sit alongside Etihad Arena’s existing ticketing infrastructure, giving the platform’s users a new way to find and access live events at the 18,000-capacity Yas Island venue. District aggregates dining, live entertainment, attractions, and activities in a single discovery layer, positioning itself as a planning tool for urban social life.
“We’re pleased to welcome this new collaboration with District. As we continue to grow our global audience, partnerships like this play an important role in reaching new audiences and supporting Abu Dhabi’s wider tourism ambitions. Together, we can strengthen our offering and continue delivering world-class experiences to audiences in the UAE and beyond,” Marcus Osborne, General Manager at Etihad Arena said in a statement.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Etihad Arena, one of the region’s most exciting live entertainment destinations. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for District as we continue to redefine the live events experience across the UAE. Etihad Arena has established itself as a premier home for exceptional entertainment, and together, we’re committed to delivering world-class, fan-first experiences,” Kunal Khambhati, Founder & COO – Events, District by Zomato added.
The deal reflects a broader shift in how entertainment venues are approaching audience acquisition. Rather than relying solely on traditional ticketing channels, Etihad Arena is looking to capture prospective attendees earlier in their planning process, at the point of casual browsing rather than active intent to buy. For Abu Dhabi, which has invested heavily in building Yas Island into a regional leisure destination, deals that drive footfall carry weight beyond the venue itself.
