The UAE Ministry of Education has announced the postponement of school bus operations for all public and private nurseries, kindergartens and schools across the country during the current phase.
According to the Ministry, the decision forms part of the operational arrangements that accompany the resumption of in-person learning.
The measure is intended to allow for the completion of operational readiness in coordination with relevant entities, including transport authorities and municipalities, to ensure service readiness in accordance with the highest safety standards.
“This step comes as part of ongoing coordination to ensure the smooth operation of school transport services in line with safety requirements and operational arrangements across all emirates,” the Ministry said in its statement via X.
The Ministry confirmed that the postponement will be subject to weekly review in coordination with the relevant authorities. Any updates regarding the resumption of school bus services will be announced through the official approved channels.
The announcement follows the Ministry of Education’s confirmation that in-person learning will resume for all enrolled children, students, educational staff and administrative staff in public and private nurseries, kindergartens and schools from Monday, 20 April 2026, after a period of remote learning across the country.
Parents, students and education sector stakeholders have been urged to rely on official communication channels for verified updates regarding the resumption of UAE school bus operations.
