Royal Kids Nursery has opened in Aljada, Sharjah, becoming the area’s first British curriculum nursery, following a partnership with Reigate Grammar School.
The nursery is located at Tiraz 5 within the Aljada community and operates under the British Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The partnership brings Reigate Grammar School’s early years provision to Sharjah through Royal Kids Nursery.
Reigate Grammar School has a group of six schools across three continents, including four preparatory and nursery schools in the United Kingdom. The partnership allows Royal Kids Nursery to deliver the EYFS programme aligned with UK practice.
Sharjah education officials attend Aljada nursery opening ceremony
The official opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Sharjah Private Education Authority. Attendees included Abdelsalam Zainal, Manager of the Licensing Department, Engineer Tariq Al Hammadi, Head of the Buildings Section, and Engineers Khadija and Aisha.
“Every space has been intentionally designed. Every experience thoughtfully planned. And every adult in the building is here because they genuinely care about making a difference in your child’s life,” Melonie Karriem, Founding Director, Royal Kids Nursery said in a statement.
Royal Kids Nursery operates full-day programmes from 8:00am to 6:00pm and offers early drop-off, flexible schedules, and enrichment activities. The nursery follows the British EYFS framework, with a STEAM-based approach that incorporates elements of Reggio Emilia and Montessori practice.
The indoor and outdoor learning spaces are designed to support exploration, inquiry, and play. Children are taught by British-qualified educators using a child-centred model. Teaching quality and professional training are overseen by Reigate Grammar School.
Expansion planned with second campus in Masaar

Reigate Grammar School International is wholly owned by Reigate Grammar School UK and oversees its international schools. The first Reigate Grammar School campus in Sharjah is scheduled to open in Masaar in September 2027.
