The Ras Al Khaimah Art 2026 Festival has entered its second weekend at Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village, running from January 23rd to 25th with a programme of activities for families and pets.
The festival, which opened on January 16 and continues until February 8, features a different theme each weekend. The opening weekend focused on ‘Civilizations’, while the second weekend introduces activities that bring art and community together.
The Hidden Table returns for the second weekend, offering dining journeys that combine art and food. On January 23 and 24, Chef Tiago Pazzini from Chama presents a menu inspired by Porto.
RAK Art Festival 2026 introduces pet competition and family workshops this weekend
The weekend features performances across Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village and surrounding venues. Grammy-nominated composer Roger Ryan will perform, alongside violinist Madam and pop performer Maz.
The programme includes a ‘Voices in the Dark’ monologue by Alana Hicks, ‘The Mannequin’ mime performance by James SCARR, and a performance by Qatar-British guitarist Khalifa Thani. RAK Academy will also present showcases.
A speaker series will explore the future of museums and imagination. The weekend concludes with an outdoor film screening.
Families can participate in a Family Talent Show, which provides an open stage for singing, dancing, storytelling, and performances. A Family Fun Walk offers t-shirts and medals to the first 150 participants.
Pet owners can enter the Best Pets Competition outside The Fort, with categories including ‘Best Grooming’, ‘Best Rescue’, and ‘Best Tail-Wagger’.
Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village hosts second weekend of art festival with dog-friendly tours

Dogs and owners can join art and heritage tours through the village. A dog training session and an agility course with the K-9 Unit are also available.
On January 24, James SCARR will lead a Mime Masterclass, teaching participants about mime and storytelling through movement, expression, and stillness.
Other workshops include plaster tile making based on Islamic geometry principles and paper quilling sessions.
On January 25, a 3D calligraphy masterclass will teach participants to create compositions using paper, leather, and wood. A block-printing workshop will allow participants to create patterned tote bags.
The Ras Al Khaimah Art 2026 Festival festival features exhibitions, performances, workshops, heritage tours, film screenings, and dining experiences. Experiences are priced individually, with a mix of free access and limited-capacity events. Registration is available on the website.
