Majid Al Futtaim has opened Explorers, a large-scale indoor children’s destination at City Centre Mirdif in Dubai, combining free-play zones with a programme of skill-building workshops under one roof.
The venue is built around three play zones. Wildwood Treetops is a multi-level soft-play structure with more than 20 interactive elements, including suspended nets, climbing towers, tunnels, pods, and spiral slides.
Little Acorns is a dedicated toddler area with age-appropriate features designed to support early development. River Play is a STEM-focused sensory environment where children can experiment through interactive stations.
Alongside the play zones, Explorers runs four workshop formats. Mamalu Kitchen offers cooking classes covering pizza, pasta, sushi, and baking.
StuDIYo Lab introduces children to woodworking through guided projects. Confidence Lab focuses on public speaking, creative writing, and performance. Picasso Artists covers fluid art, resin art, and tie-dye. A pottery studio, open to all ages, rounds out the offering.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to create meaningful experiences that bring families together. Explorers at City Centre Mirdif reflects our commitment to developing innovative concepts that combine entertainment, learning, and creativity in a way that feels both engaging and enriching. Today’s families are seeking experiences that go beyond traditional play, and Explorers has been designed to nurture curiosity, encourage imagination, and inspire discovery through immersive, hands-on experiences. We are proud to introduce a destination where children can learn, create, and explore while making lasting memories with their loved ones,” Ignace Lahoud, Chief Executive Officer, Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment and Lifestyle said in a statement.
The venue is designed for children aged 1 to 12. Summer camp programming is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.
