Careem is running a promotion that pays users cashback for ordering food through its competitors. From September 1 to 7, anyone in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain who orders food delivery on any platform, including rival apps, can claim 20 per cent cashback, up to AED 30, deposited directly into their Careem wallet within 24 hours.
The mechanic is straightforward: order food, take a screenshot showing the restaurant name, bill amount, and delivery address, then DM it to @careemuae on Instagram alongside the phone number linked to your Careem account. One claim per customer. Orders placed directly on Careem earn the cashback automatically, without the screenshot step.
The credits land in the Careem wallet and can be used across any Careem service, from rides to groceries.
“Abu Dhabi loves its food, and this week we’re picking up part of the bill, no matter which app people order from. Someone’s dinner from another platform ends up as credit in their Careem wallet. And once that credit is there, we’re confident their next order and experience on Careem will speak for itself,” Nourhan Farhat, VP of Marketplace Businesses at Careem said in a statement.
The promotion runs city-wide across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Full terms are available on Careem’s Instagram account.
