Careem has launched a new feature called Far-Away Gems, which the company says more than doubles its standard delivery range, making neighbourhood restaurants across Dubai and Abu Dhabi available to customers who previously couldn’t order from them.
The feature covers more than 600 restaurants hand-picked by Careem, with the company positioning them as highly rated local institutions that have historically served only nearby residents.
The list includes Al Ustad Special Kabab, Pechka, Aqaya, Café De Paris, and Al Sultan Restaurant and Grills, among others.
“The UAE is home to some truly extraordinary restaurants that have built loyal followings over years, sometimes decades. People search for them, recommend them, and make the trip across the city just to eat there. But for most customers, ordering from them has never been an option. Far-Away Gems changes that. It is our way of making sure that where you live is never the reason you miss out on a great meal,” Nourhan Farhat, VP of Marketplace Businesses at Careem said in a statement.
Far-Away Gems is live now on the Careem app, accessible under the Food tab in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
