Red Sea Global has announced the opening of an adventure and entertainment district at The Red Sea destination.
ADRENA will open to the public on March 1 following a soft launch for guests on February 15. The district sits a short drive from Shura Island and will serve visitors from The Red Sea destination and beyond.
The venue will feature a saltwater surf pool measuring 215m in length, which will be the largest in Saudi Arabia when it opens. Waves can reach a maximum height of 2.1m and can be customised based on rider skill level.

Other facilities include a wakeboarding lake, snorkel trails, a 6m deep diving pool, a children’s waterplay area and a floating inflatable obstacle course. Land-based options include a skatepark, a BMX pump track, and areas for beach football and volleyball. The district also offers an overwater zip line and a 10m high ‘slip ‘n’ fly’ slide.
After dark, the beach club offers entertainment with DJ performances of house music and South American cuisine accompanied by a mocktail menu, served until late into the evening. The district features a beach club, live music programming and an infinity pool with Red Sea sunset views.
“Our unique adventure and entertainment district isn’t just about offering thrilling experiences, it’s about embodying the freedom of a coastal lifestyle – the energy, the community, the connection with nature. We’ve built ADRENA with sustainability at its core, demonstrating our commitment to regenerative tourism and ensuring an unforgettable experience for every guest, day and night. We look forward to welcoming visitors in the coming weeks,” John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global said in a statement.
The name ADRENA draws inspiration from the words ‘adrenaline’, ‘arena’ and ‘dream’. The district is led and managed by Red Sea Sports & Entertainment Co., which operates WAMA (water sports), Galaxea (underwater experiences) and Akun (land adventures).

The district has been designed with accessibility in mind. Many pools feature zero-depth entry and activities including bodyboarding, paddleboarding, diving and snorkeling offer adaptable options. This allows guests with mobility and accessibility needs to use the facilities.
ADRENA follows Red Sea Global’s responsible development approach. The district uses a closed-loop system that draws in seawater, filters and circulates it through the attractions, then returns it clean and filtered. Freshwater used across the district is reused for irrigation.
The Red Sea welcomed its first guests in 2023 and now operates nine hotels, along with Thuwal Private Retreat off the coast of Jeddah. Red Sea International Airport serves as the gateway to the destination, receiving domestic and international flights from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha and Milan.
