Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have purchased property at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence, located within The Red Sea development in Saudi Arabia.
Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer of The Red Sea and AMAALA tourism destinations, announced the acquisition. The residences form part of The Red Sea Residences’ collection of branded homes at the island retreat.
Nujuma sits 26km from the mainland. Access is limited to chartered boat or seaplane. The resort features 19 villas on the island, positioned on sands and waters. The development combines design with service in the natural environment.

Eight Ritz-Carlton Reserves operate worldwide. The brand associates with properties in locations. Nujuma operates within The Red Sea, a regenerative tourism destination. RSG has committed to achieving a 30 per cent net conservation benefit to ecosystems by 2040 through enhancement of habitats.
Red Sea International Airport (RSI) provides access to the destination. The airport is within three hours flying time for 250 million people and eight hours’ flying time for 85 per cen of the population. The destination experiences temperatures that allow visits throughout the year.
Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand expands to Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea
Ronaldo and Rodríguez have visited The Red Sea destination multiple times since resorts opened in 2023. The family undertakes experiences on land and in water at the destination. Their observations of the destination’s features influenced their decision to purchase property.
The couple acquired two villas at Nujuma: a three-bedroom property and a two-bedroom property. They were among the first buyers. They are examining ownership opportunities within the destination.

RSG follows a development approach for residences. The Red Sea and AMAALA destinations operate on 100 per cent renewable energy, including the residences. The destinations aim to achieve a regenerative impact on the environment.
RSG plans to achieve a 30 per cent net conservation benefit for ecosystems by 2040. This will be accomplished through enhancement of mangroves, seagrass, corals, and land vegetation, promoting biodiversity while contributing to carbon sequestration.
The Red Sea destination forms part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Ten hotels are open at the destination. This year Shura Island, the centre of The Red Sea, opened the first of its 11 resorts, along with Shura Links, an 18-hole championship golf course, F&B and retail, experiences and programming. RSI operates flights from Doha, Dubai, Milan, Jeddah and Riyadh.
