Aldar has announced Yas Point, a large-scale waterfront destination on the northern side of Yas Island with a gross development value of AED 6 billion.
The masterplan covers approximately 600,000 sqm and will include 1,600 branded residences, a five-star resort hotel, an international school, and a retail, dining, and leisure offering.
Once complete, the development is expected to house 5,000 residents. Aldar describes the layout as a walkable masterplan with park connections and waterfront pathways designed to encourage movement through the site.
Positioned adjacent to Yas Island’s established entertainment and attractions, Yas Point is framed as a destination for residents and visitors alike, with public beach access, open spaces, and a year-round events programme forming part of the concept.
“The world’s greatest destinations never stand still; they continue to evolve to remain globally relevant and create new reasons for people to visit, live, and connect. Yas Point reflects that ambition, introducing a vibrant waterfront destination that expands how people experience Yas Island and reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination for lifestyle, tourism, and investment,” Jonathan Emery, Chief Executive Officer of Aldar Development said in a statement.
