Service My Car, the UAE-based car service platform powered by Bahwan International Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PlusX Electric, a mobile electric vehicle charging provider based in Dubai.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Prem Anandkumar N, Business Head at Service My Car, and Mr. Chintan Sareen, Founder of PlusX Electric.
The MoU comes in response to the growth of EV adoption in the UAE and the rising number of households that own both electric and internal combustion vehicles. This pattern, referred to as the “ICV-EV combo” trend, has created demand for services that support both vehicle types within a single ownership journey.
Across the UAE, many drivers are now using EVs as secondary vehicles while continuing to use petrol or diesel cars for longer journeys. The partnership is intended to address this shift by combining Service My Car’s vehicle servicing operations with PlusX Electric’s EV charging services.
Through the partnership, Service My Car will add EV charging support to its platform, which currently offers pickup and delivery, RTA passing, detailing, insurance, vehicle evaluation and history reports.
“This partnership reflects the evolving reality of vehicle ownership in the UAE. Many customers today are managing both EVs and traditional vehicles, and they need a quick solution that supports both. By integrating PlusX Electric’s charging capabilities into our ecosystem, we are making the ownership experience simpler, smarter, and more connected than ever before,” Prem Anandkumar N, Business Head at Service My Car said in a statement.
The collaboration will also involve joint awareness campaigns and the integration of services aimed at simplifying EV ownership for customers in the UAE.
The two companies said the partnership would deliver a single ecosystem covering both car care and EV charging for vehicle owners in the region.
