The Abu Dhabi City Municipality’s Al Ain branch has mobilised dedicated response teams across the region to manage the impact of severe weather conditions.
Working alongside strategic partners, authorities are focused on keeping residents safe, safeguarding property, and maintaining traffic flow.
The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has confirmed that all private educational institutions in Dubai will remain on remote learning through Friday, April 3, 2026.
Schools seeking an earlier return to in-person classes must submit a formal request to KHDA with a clear justification, which will then be reviewed by the Ministry of Education on a case-by-case basis, with student and staff safety serving as the primary consideration.
In response to current weather conditions, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation is calling on employers to take precautionary action across three areas: work sites should have risks assessed, high-risk activities rescheduled, and drainage systems checked; transport arrangements should account for weather conditions, with vehicles roadworthy and drivers briefed to avoid affected routes; and worker accommodations must be kept free of water accumulation, with electrical installations inspected and emergency needs promptly addressed.
With heavy rainfall expected in the coming hours, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is urging motorists to exercise caution and ensure their vehicle’s lights and brakes are in good working order before heading out.
Dubai Police received a total of 17,494 emergency and non-emergency calls within 24 hours following recent rainfall across the emirate, recorded between 6:00 am Monday and 6:00 am Tuesday.
Of these, 14,689 were received through the emergency number 999 and 2,805 through the 901 non-emergency centre.

Abu Dhabi Police has announced that speed limits on all external roads across the emirate have been restored to their normal levels. Motorists are reminded to continue driving safely.
Aldhafrah Region Municipality, a subsidiary of DMT, is actively handling challenging weather conditions in Al Dhafra Region by deploying specialised teams and working with partners to maintain safety, protect property, and keep traffic moving smoothly.
Because of ongoing rainfall in parts of Dubai, motorists are urged to slow down, stay alert, and ensure they are wearing seatbelts.
Motorists are reminded to take extra precautions on wet roads by using indicators when changing lanes, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, and reducing speed in line with posted limits.
Windshield wipers and headlights should also be switched on to improve visibility and ensure other drivers can see you clearly.

Sharjah City Municipality has extended its public parking fee exemption from Monday, March 23, 2026, until further notice.
The waiver covers all public parking areas across the emirate, including zones that are normally chargeable on weekdays and public holidays, as marked by blue informational signs. Smart parking yards are not included in the exemption.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects partly cloudy to cloudy conditions on Tuesday, with convective clouds and rainfall of varying intensity across most parts of the country.
Winds will be light to moderate, picking up to strong at times around clouds, triggering dust and sand that will reduce visibility. Winds are forecast from the northeast to southeast at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, gusting up to 45 km/h.
At sea, the Arabian Gulf will range from slight to moderate, turning rough at times near clouds. Tide times are as follows – high tides at 17:10 and 04:29, low tides at 10:47 and 21:48.
The Oman Sea will similarly be slight to moderate, growing rough at times, with high tides at 14:10 and 00:52, and a low tide at 19:39.
