Air Arabia has launched daily non-stop flights between Sharjah and Munich, establishing its first German destination served directly from Sharjah.
The airline operates the service with its Airbus A320neo aircraft.
Munich Airport held a ceremony upon the arrival of the flight. Representatives from the Sharjah-based carrier and the airport attended the event.
Munich becomes Air Arabia’s first German destination from Sharjah
“We are glad to commence our new non-stop service to Munich directly from Sharjah, a significant addition that further strengthens our growing footprint across Europe. This launch reflects our continued commitment to unlocking key destinations for our customers while offering greater choice and convenience,” Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia said in a statement.
“We are delighted that Air Arabia has now launched its route between Munich and Sharjah. This expands travel options for our passengers and further strengthens Munich’s important role in the market to and from the GCC countries,” Oliver Dersch, Senior Vice President Aviation at Munich Airport added.
Munich becomes part of the airline’s European network from the UAE. The airline serves Vienna, Athens, Milan Bergamo, Krakow, and Warsaw Chopin from Sharjah. Air Arabia will launch services to Warsaw Modlin and Prague.
