Cairo is set to host the second edition of Egypt Fashion Week under the theme “Evolution” from November 28 to 30, 2025, at the Coterie Building and Consoleya located on Talaat Harb Street in downtown Cairo. The venue sits at the heart of Cairo’s historic downtown district, housed in a 95-year-old building that once served as the French consulate and has been transformed into an innovative workspace and event hub.
Creative Experience
This year’s edition brings together leading local and international designers, artisans, and emerging creative talents under one roof. The program extends beyond traditional fashion shows to offer a multifaceted experience that bridges design, craftsmanship, education, and commerce.
Visitors can explore the “Room Service” exhibitions, which run throughout the three-day event and provide direct access to meet the designers and craftsmen behind the collections. This interactive element creates a bridge between creators and audiences, highlighting the latest design trends and artistic visions within the Egyptian fashion landscape.
Fashion Shows
The highlight of the event comes on November 28 and 29 with front-row fashion shows featuring the latest collections. These runway presentations showcase diverse creative approaches ranging from traditional Egyptian heritage-inspired designs to contemporary interpretations of global fashion trends.
The program includes a series of expert-led talks and discussions covering design, craftsmanship, education, finance, and sustainability. These conversations aim to provide an inside look at the future trajectory of fashion in Egypt, with emphasis on integrating sustainable practices and innovation within the industry.
Direct-to-Consumer Shopping Finale
The event concludes on November 30 with “Shop the Runway,” a unique opportunity for fashion enthusiasts to purchase pieces directly from the collections immediately following their runway presentations. This modern retail approach combines the excitement of fashion shows with immediate consumer access to purchase featured designs.
Supporting Local Talent
The Egyptian Fashion & Design Council (EFDC), which organizes the event, is dedicated to developing excellence in the Egyptian fashion and textile industry by nurturing, supporting, and promoting local designers, artisans, and manufacturers both locally and globally. The council provides comprehensive support through mentorship, workshops, business advisory services, and promotion initiatives across various stages of designer careers.
The first edition of Egypt Fashion Week, held in May 2023 under the theme “Past, Present & Future,” saw participation from more than 70 Egyptian designers and was held at venues including the Egyptian Museum and the Agriculture Museum.
